>London is truly remarkable when you get the opportunity to look at it from a vantage point other than “from under a dripping umbrella”. With that in mind, this morning I walked from Waterloo to work. It is a wonderful walk all along the south of the Thames River – from Waterloo to Tower Bridge (I work in the Shad Thames area).
I’m thinking that one day this summer I will wake up just a wee bit earlier (30 minutes would do it) and take photos as I walk and share them. It is amazing what you get to see along that stroll in just 45 minutes… including but not limited to: the London Eye, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tate Modern, the HMS Belfast, the Gerkin, the Tower of London, City Hall, Tower Bridge… so nice when the sun is out!
Definitely a walk I’ll need to do more often. It helps me appreciate living here.
