Approximately how many hours per week do you spend reading other blogs?
Oh dear. I don’t know how many hours, because I read pretty fast, but I do read a few other blogs. Actually, I spend a lot of time online (definitely measurable in hours) but I really only keep up on three blogs: Brendan’s
(when she updates!) and Go Fug Yourself
(which I love and check daily).
Your community wants everyone to give one thing to put into a time capsule. What item would you choose to include?
I don’t really have a community. Does this mean for here in Korea? Or back home? I guess either way I would throw a Skor bar in there just in case they stop making them. Then the people of the future could try it, love it, and start making them again.
What is the most interesting tourist attraction you’ve ever visited?
Angkor Wat, Cambodia.
If you could give an award to anyone for anything, who would it be and what would the award be titled?
I don’t know what I would title it, but I would definitely give an award to my moms. I think moms everywhere don’t get the kudos they deserve, but I especially think my moms should be awarded something as she has put up with me for thirty years now. She has always put the needs of others ahead of herself for so long and so selflessly that someone should let her know how much she kicks ass.
What do you think your favorite color reveals about your personality?
My favorite colour is red
and I’ve never really considered what that reveals about my personality. Researching the colour (thanks Wiki
!) revealed that red catches people’s attention and is often used to indicate danger or emergency. One who is termed "red-blooded" is considered audacious, robust, or virile. Red is the colour of passion, romance and sex. In the World Cup, red is the colour of victory for South Korea (be the Reds!). The Chinese believe that red is good luck. Red is a Christmas colour. Red is thought to provoke hunger (think of the McDonald’s logo). In the East, the names of the deceased are written in red ink into the Book of the Dead (and writing a living person’s name in red can curse them). It is considered the colour of the Catholic Church. Red ink is used in spreadsheets to denote debt ("in the red"). In football, if a player is red-carded he has to leave the field. Red can also symbolize evil. It can stand for boldness, enthusiasm or impetuosity. Red is the colour of the lowest-value balls in snooker. The red star became a communist emblem. In Canada, it indicates the Liberal party during an election on the map. It is, along with black, associated with anarchism (specifically anarcho-syndicalism). Red is often used for the Roman, British and Soviet empires. Red ribbons are used to symbolize AIDS awareness. In Star Wars, red is traditionally the colour of the light sabers used by the Sith (the bad guys). On away-missions on StarTrek, ensigns in a red uniform would often get killed.
Now you know.
